New Delhi. Amitabh Bachchan confirmed that he suffered a minor knee injury while filming the eighteenth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. The accident occurred when he slipped during a routine take.
Modified Opening Routine
In the following episode, the veteran presenter broke from his trademark habit of standing at centre stage for the introductory speech. Instead, he chose a chair and addressed the audience from there, explaining that the fresh injury necessitated the change.
Big B Calms the Crew
Gesturing to his left knee, Bachchan reassured everyone that the issue was not serious. He noted that while he would still rise to greet contestants, he preferred to remain seated for the opening segment because standing caused discomfort. The studio audience responded with heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery.
KBC 18 Continues Unstopped
Despite the setback, the iconic figure carried on with his hosting responsibilities, interacting with participants and keeping the show’s momentum intact. Viewers observed the departure from his signature standing introduction, a hallmark that has defined the programme for years.
Future Film Commitments
Beyond the quiz show, Bachchan remains active on the big screen. He is slated to appear in Section 84, a courtroom thriller directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, alongside Diana Penty, Nimrat Kaur and Abhishek Banerjee. He is also expected to reprise his role as Ashwatthama in Kalki 2898 AD – Part 2, sharing the frame with Prabhas and Kamal Haasan.
