Dehradun: Social‑media personality Anurag Dobhal has become the subject of a police FIR after a local resident lodged a complaint alleging physical assault, intimidation and related offences. The complaint was registered at Nehru Colony police station on the basis of a statement given by Raj Singh Chauhan.

Investigators have opened a probe and are presently scrutinising the allegations detailed in the grievance.

Altercation Said to Have Escalated During a Meet‑up

According to the FIR, Chauhan travelled to an area near a Nexa showroom beside Yellow Hills Café on the evening of 5 October to meet Dobhal and several other acquaintances.

The complainant claims a verbal dispute broke out around 8 p.m., which rapidly turned into a physical confrontation.

He alleges that Dobhal attempted to choke him, while other participants allegedly struck him with sticks and metal objects. The filing also mentions an attempt to run him over with a vehicle.

Phone and Gold Chain Allegedly Stolen

Chauhan told police that he sustained injuries during the scuffle and that his mobile phone and a gold chain were taken from him. He says he managed to leave the scene after the incident.

These claims have not yet been independently verified; law‑enforcement officers are examining the factual matrix surrounding the episode.

Threats Said to Have Followed the Incident

The complainant further asserts that the harassment continued after the clash. He reports receiving threatening phone calls and Instagram messages aimed at both him and his family members.

The FIR lists Dobhal alongside Abhay Chaudhary, Tapan Pandit, Abhishek Tiger, Abhinav Srivastava and Guru Bhai, among others.

Nehru Colony police recorded the case under Sections 117(2), 191(2) and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) based on Chauhan’s allegations.

Evidence collection is ongoing and statements are being taken to reconstruct the sequence of events. No definitive conclusions have been reached yet; the investigation will determine each accused’s involvement as it proceeds.
