Bhiwani: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini underscored his administration's commitment to both the agricultural backbone and the sporting prowess of the state during his recent visit to Bhiwani. The event, held at the Panchayat Bhawan, served as a platform to celebrate the 24th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, alongside Agriculture Minister Shyam Singh Rana.
Empowering the Agricultural Sector
Highlighting the significance of the PM-Kisan initiative, CM Saini noted that the scheme, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2019, has become a cornerstone of financial stability for millions of farming families. By facilitating direct bank transfers, the government ensures that farmers have the necessary capital to manage agricultural costs efficiently. The Chief Minister urged the farming community to stay proactive in leveraging these central welfare schemes to improve their livelihoods.
Celebrating Sporting Excellence
The focus shifted from the fields to the arena as the Chief Minister prepared to honor 125 athletes at Bhim Stadium. These medalists from the Asian and Para Asian Games are set to receive a collective reward of ₹184 crore, a testament to Haryana's status as a powerhouse of Indian sports. The celebration also features a high-energy women's kabaddi match between Haryana and Punjab, highlighting the state's vibrant sports culture.
Infrastructure and Community Engagement
Beyond welfare and sports, the visit marked a significant push for local development. CM Saini inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for eight key infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing the district's growth. Furthermore, to promote health and fitness among the youth, the administration organized a five-kilometre race for men and women, with top performers set to be rewarded with motorcycles and scooters, fostering a spirit of competition and wellness across the region.
