Body Discovered in Neemka’s Fields

In the pre‑dawn hours of Monday, Yogendra – known locally as Lucky – walked to his father Bhole Shankar’s farm carrying a cup of tea. Instead of finding his father, he was confronted with the farmer’s lifeless form sprawled on the earth. Shocked, Yogendra immediately summoned the police.

Officers arrived within minutes, cordoned off the area and handed it over to forensic specialists who began collecting trace evidence. The case was promptly logged as a homicide, with investigators zeroing in on the bitter land‑ownership clash that had long festered between the brothers.

Surveillance Video Highlights a Suspect

Three separate investigative teams were mobilised to examine the murder. Their review of CCTV recordings from cameras positioned around the plot captured a figure entering the field shortly before the fatal moment. The individual’s build and gait bore a close resemblance to Devendra, the victim’s younger brother.

Devendra was brought in for questioning, and his statements were cross‑checked against the video and the forensic findings. The convergence of these clues led police to conclude that he was likely involved, resulting in his detention late that night.

Investigators also recovered a spade from the scene, which is believed to be the instrument used in the assault. The tool now serves as a pivotal piece of evidence as the case moves through the judicial process.

Authorities continue to reconstruct the chain of events that led to the farmer’s death. Devendra will be presented before the appropriate court, and the investigation remains open to uncover any further motives or accomplices.
