Tragic fallout of a domestic dispute in Sadarpur

On a Sunday in Sadarpur, an area patrolled by the Madhuban Bapudham police, 33‑year‑old Renu was discovered dead after a violent confrontation with her husband. Authorities have filed a case against the spouse, Arun, who has yet to be apprehended.

Renu’s origins and family life

Renu originated from Jalalpur village in the Pisawa block of Aligarh. She had been married to Arun, a Sadarpur resident, for approximately fifteen years. The pair were parents to two sons, aged 12 and 9.

Family alleges a history of abuse

Maternal relatives say Arun exhibited physical aggression, particularly after drinking alcohol. They contend that altercations were not uncommon and that the couple had previously engaged in numerous disputes.

The incident that escalated on the fatal day

According to the family, the latest argument erupted on Sunday. The clash quickly turned physical, and Arun allegedly placed a video call to Renu’s brother, Rahul Rathi, showing his sister’s injuries and urging him to retrieve her.

Brother’s hurried arrival

After receiving the alarming call, Rahul, together with other relatives, rushed to Sadarpur. Upon reaching the house they found it locked, and neighbors informed them that Renu had already been taken to a hospital.

Hospital verdict

The family arrived at the Joint District Hospital in Sanjay Nagar, where doctors examined Renu and declared her dead. Initial reports point to a severe head trauma, reportedly caused by a heavy object.

Husband’s disappearance

Relatives allege that members of Arun’s family left the hospital before the family could get there. Following the death, Rahul filed a formal FIR naming Arun and several in‑laws as suspects.

Police action and manhunt

DCP City Dhawal Jaiswal confirmed that investigators are actively tracking Arun’s whereabouts. The police have begun a systematic search and indicated that further legal measures will be taken once he is located.
