New Delhi: On Tuesday, 6 October, both gold and silver edged lower, echoing a broader correction in worldwide and domestic bullion markets after a stretch of choppy trading.

Global Benchmarks Ease

On the COMEX, spot gold closed near $4,153.80 per ounce, down about 0.07%. Silver faced stronger pressure, slipping roughly 0.43% to around $61.04 per ounce.

Indian Market Mirrors the Trend

Domestic traders observed a similar drift after the opening bell. The 10‑gram gold price lingered close to the ₹1.49 lakh mark, while silver was quoted near ₹2.25 lakh per kilogram.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), December gold futures slipped by about ₹176, settling at ₹1,49,300 per 10 g. Silver futures fell roughly ₹500, ending at ₹2,25,700 per kilogram.

Today's 24‑carat gold quotations for major metros are:

  • Delhi: ₹1,48,320 per 10 g
  • Mumbai: ₹1,48,620 per 10 g
  • Patna: ₹1,49,540 per 10 g

  • Kanpur: ₹1,48,517 per 10 g
  • Lucknow: ₹1,49,470 per 10 g
  • Bhopal: ₹1,48,880 per 10 g

Indicative rates for 22‑carat gold were:

  • Delhi: ₹1,37,960 per 10 g
  • Mumbai: ₹1,37,902 per 10 g
  • Patna: ₹1,37,828 per 10 g
  • Jaipur: ₹1,36,395 per 10 g
  • Lucknow: ₹1,36,181 per 10 g

Silver Prices Remain Under Pressure

Silver quotations also softened across the country. City‑wise indicative rates included:

  • Delhi: ₹2,25,760 per kg
  • Mumbai: ₹2,26,140 per kg
  • Patna: ₹2,25,190 per kg
  • Jaipur: ₹2,25,310 per kg
  • Kanpur: ₹2,26,920 per kg
  • Lucknow: ₹2,25,150 per kg
  • Bhopal: ₹2,25,550 per kg

Because bullion prices fluctuate throughout the trading session, the final amount a retail buyer pays can differ from these indicative figures. Jewellery costs further depend on purity, making charges, taxes, and each dealer’s margin.
