Lucknow: Cabinet Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar responded sharply to what he described as disparaging comments made by SP leader Om Prakash Singh about his birth. In a lengthy social‑media note, Rajbhar said he had been hearing Singh’s statements for the past two days and, rather than feeling shocked, he felt a deep sense of pity for the party chief.

Rajbhar explained that the criticism stemmed from his belonging to the economically‑backward Rajbhar community instead of a land‑owning or upper‑caste family. He emphasized that he has never regretted his lineage; on the contrary, he is proud of the resolve and determination that come from serving the community that gave him his identity.

While acknowledging that he could easily retort with his own slur, Rajbhar said his upbringing and values forbid him from insulting anyone’s parents. He paid his respects to Singh’s parents, noting that no one chooses the time, place, family, lineage, or caste into which they are born – that is the will of the Almighty.

Targeting the Samajwadi Party

Rajbhar then turned his criticism toward the Samajwadi Party itself, questioning Singh’s devotion to God. He suggested that if Singh truly believed in a higher power, he would not cling to the SP merely to secure an Assembly ticket, especially given what Rajbhar described as the party’s alleged disregard for Lord Ram, the Raghukul and Suryavansh lineages, and Sanatan Dharma.

He reiterated his commitment to work for the Rajbhar community, backward classes, Dalits, and other oppressed groups, stating that he performs his duties without obsessing over outcomes.

In a pointed remark to Singh, Rajbhar said, “If you want an SP ticket, go ahead and take it. The public is watching everything, and when the time comes, it will be the people who pass the judgment.”

No Apology Expected

Rajbhar made it clear that he does not demand an apology from Singh, nor does he seek one himself. However, he urged Singh to reflect on his own parents before making caste‑based attacks on anyone else.

May God bless him. Jai Shri Ram.
