New Delhi. A 17‑year‑old boy was allegedly attacked with knives in Trilokpuri, Mayur Vihar, as a result of an old personal rivalry. The incident prompted the police to file an attempted‑murder case and detain three minors, while two blades used in the assault have been recovered. Authorities are still searching for a fourth juvenile believed to be involved.
Police records show that at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, officers received a call reporting a teenager who had been stabbed in the 30 Block of Trilokpuri. Responding units from the Mayur Vihar police station rushed to the scene and immediately transferred the injured youth to LBS Hospital for emergency care.
Because of the severity of his wounds, doctors later referred the boy to the AIIMS Trauma Centre for advanced treatment. The hospital confirmed that his condition is now stable.
Investigators uncovered that the victim had a confrontation with another minor about fifteen days prior. According to witnesses, the teenager and his friends had assaulted the other youngster during that earlier clash. Police believe the lingering animosity motivated the retaliation, during which the victim was ambushed and stabbed.
Three juveniles have been taken into custody and are undergoing questioning. Simultaneously, police teams are conducting raids at suspected hideouts to locate the remaining suspect. The probe continues to piece together the exact sequence of events and assign responsibility to each participant.
