New Delhi: Vidda, Hisense’s premium home‑cinema line, has introduced its top‑tier Big Eye M2 Pro projector to the Chinese market. Tailored for cinephiles and gamers, the unit combines a triple‑colour laser light source, an integrated 360° gimbal, and a suite of high‑end specifications that aim to replicate a theater experience without a permanent mount.
Pricing and Market Roll‑out
The Big Eye M2 Pro hits Chinese shelves at 5,499 yuan, with a limited‑time promotional discount that reduces the effective cost to 4,949 yuan. Consumers can immediately purchase the sleek “Moonlight White” finish, while the “Space Silver” variant is currently open for reservations. No pricing or launch timetable has been announced for India.
4K Imaging and Brightness
At its core, the projector houses a 0.47‑inch DMD chip paired with Vidda’s in‑house QuaLas42 triple‑laser engine. Together they produce up to 1,800 CVIA lumens, bright enough for well‑lit living rooms. The system supports HDR10+ and HLG, and its glass‑lens optics provide a 1.3× optical zoom with a throw ratio ranging from 1.0:1 to 1.3:1.
To fill a 100‑inch screen, the unit should be placed roughly 2.2 m from the surface; a 150‑inch image requires about 3.3 m, depending on room geometry.
Gaming‑Optimised Performance
The M2 Pro is engineered with gamers in mind. It can output 4K video at up to 60 Hz, while switching to 1080p unlocks a rapid 240 Hz refresh rate. An HDMI 2.1 port, MediaTek MT9679 processor, and 3 GB of RAM enable Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low‑Latency Mode (ALLM), delivering fluid gameplay on compatible consoles and PCs.
360° Motorised Gimbal Simplifies Installation
Unlike traditional projectors that require ceiling mounts or external brackets, the Big Eye M2 Pro features a motorised gimbal capable of a full 360° rotation. Users can tilt the device toward the ceiling, floor, or any angle, making it adaptable to diverse room layouts and screen placements.
Additional automated tools—autofocus, keystone correction, and screen‑alignment assistance—further reduce setup time, allowing the projector to find the optimal picture with minimal user effort.
Integrated Four‑Speaker Audio
Sound is handled by a built‑in 20 W four‑speaker array, comprising two full‑range drivers and two tweeters. The audio suite supports Dolby Audio and DTS:X, creating an immersive soundstage that complements the large‑format visuals.
India Launch Still Pending
At present, the Big Eye M2 Pro is available only in China. Vidda has not disclosed an official launch schedule or pricing for the Indian market. If the company decides to bring the projector to India, it will likely issue a separate announcement with localized details.
