Triple Homicide Sends Shockwaves Through Vishnulok Colony

In the tranquil Raipur sector of Dehradun, a gruesome episode has left the community reeling. An 80‑year‑old patriarch, Ramesh Kapoor, his 75‑year‑old wife, Rajni Kapoor, and their 48‑year‑old domestic aide, Tiliya Devi – locally known as Sheila – were discovered dead following a violent clash with a plumber hired for routine repairs.

Police Account: Payment Dispute Escalates Into Murder

Investigators say the accused, identified as Rajkumar, was summoned to the Kapoor residence for standard plumbing work. After the job was completed, a disagreement over the final fee allegedly ignited a physical confrontation. The senior couple bore the brunt of the assault, and Sheila, who heard the disturbance while attending a nearby house, rushed to intervene and was also fatally attacked.

All three victims were transported to Coronation Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Neighbourhood Vigilante Leads to Arrest

As Rajkumar attempted to flee the scene, alert residents intercepted him and handed him over to the authorities. Police confirmed that the suspect hails from Bijnor and had been residing in Indresh Nagar, Dehradun. Frequent visits to the Kapoor home meant he was familiar with the family’s daily routine.

He is now in police custody while investigators piece together how a simple payment row devolved into a triple homicide.
