New Delhi – Police in Delhi have taken a 32‑year‑old male into custody after a 43‑year‑old woman reported a sexual assault that allegedly began with a promise of an eye‑examination.

Complaint Triggers FIR

The woman filed a formal complaint at the Keshav Puram police station, stating that the accused, identified as Vikas, a resident of Tri Nagar, invited her to his flat claiming he would conduct an eye check‑up. Upon arrival, she says she was rendered unconscious and subsequently assaulted.

Arrest and Investigation

Following the filing, officers registered an FIR under the pertinent sections of the Indian Penal Code and promptly apprehended Vikas. The investigation team is currently gathering forensic evidence, recording statements, and examining the scene to substantiate the allegations.
